Engine Replacement Fund Update
The Engine Replacement Fund continues to grow thanks to Auxiliary fundraising efforts and community donations. The department provides an update on progress toward the $650,000 goal.
Protecting Our Community Since 1872
In September 2025, Engine 2 was lost during a maintenance-related fire at Station 1. No firefighters were injured. The department continues full operations with Engine 1 and mutual aid partnerships. An Engine Replacement Fund has been established to restore full operational capacity.
The Hobart Volunteer Fire Department has proudly served the Village of Hobart and surrounding areas since 1872. Our all-volunteer team is dedicated to protecting lives and property through fire suppression, accident response, and community fire prevention education.

The HVFD Auxiliary will host its annual Spring Dinner on March 22nd at the Hobart Community Hall. All proceeds benefit the Engine Replacement Fund.
The Hobart Ladies Auxiliary held a bake sale and rummage auction at the VFW on Canal Street, raising $1,286.43 to support the department following the loss of Engine 2.
